Dave and I took off for a couple of fun filled days in St. George to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We went to an "old folks" ward on Sunday. It really was a family ward and in the same building we attended while living in St. George 25 years ago, but it was 10% families and 80% retirees. We were probably the youngest "empty nester" couple there. We took a drive through Snow Canyon, up to Pine Mountain, and Santa Clara. It took us a long time to find our old house there. Monday we went to Zions and did a couple of little hikes. We took sandwiches and ate lunch at a little campground near the entrance. It was fun to eat at a picnic table in February! We went to see some properties of Grandpa Griffiths and had a nice dinner at Chili's and of course some frozen custard from Nelsons. Mostly we enjoyed the warmth and sunshine, the hot tub, and just spending some time together and reminiscing. St. George is certainly not at all the same place we spent our honeymoon 30 years ago!

Looks and sounds like you had a great time. I remember going to church once in that pine valley building. Quite an experience. It wasn't even a trip when I visited you, but long after then when I went to S.G. with a friend.

Jealous about the frozen custard! OK I could go to Culvers but Nelsons is really the best.
